Hi, girls, how are you all doing?

It is Lucia here and today I am presenting a very interesting tutorial, which can be use in many projects! I will be showing you how to transfer the image of our dear Magnolia onto fabric!

We know there are several ways to do this kind of transfering, so I chose a very easy technique.

Before I start, I want to give the credits of this technique to a friend, an expert on patchwork, which makes many beautiful things with our Maggies, my dear Fatima Donayre. At the end of this tutorial, I’ll show you some work  she’s done, for you to enjoy. The difference is that I transfer the image as xerox and Fatima scanned the image and then printed it.

Vamos lá? Abaixo, o material necessário:

So, let’s start? Here is what we need:

3. etiqueta tamanho A4
4. Mod Podge
5. papéis diversos - eu usei a coleção Vintage Summer, da Little Yellow Bicycle

1. Magnolia stamp - I colored with Copics, but you can use any media you want.
2. cotton fabric
3. A4 size label
4. Mod Podge
5. scrapbooking papers - I used the Vintage Summer collection, from Little Yellow Bicycle

E aqui a técnica:

And here is how I did it:

Pinte o carimbo Magnolia escolhido.

Color your chosen Magnolia stamp. Use preferably vibrant colors for a better result.

Cut a piece of cotton fabric  and carefully paste it on the label.

Place the colored magnolia stamp in the printer / photocopier and use the label with the fabric instead of paper. Use your inkjet printer and xerox the image on the fabric.

After that, take the label off, crop the image, leaving a wide edge for easy handling.

Here, I’ve sewn with embroidery thread and then shredded the edges for a nicer look.

No verso, passei Mod Podge para colar minha Magnolia no papel.

I glued my image with Mod Podge to finish my project.

Now, you can use the image as you wish!

Espero que tenham gostado!

Hope you have enjoyed it!

E aqui alguns trabalhos da querida amiga Fatima! Obrigada pela inspiração, Fá!!!

And here you can see some of the beautiful work done by my dear friend Fatima!

Beijos a todas!

See you soon!
